Here are some of the major reasons why you need to tune into the VCT LOCK//IN 2023 grand finals day.

Valorant’s first big international event of 2023, the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) LOCK//IN 2023 tournament, kicked off on 13th February and is set to conclude on 4th March. This kick-off event brought together all the partnered teams in a ruthless single-elimination bracket format and 32 teams in total participated. After days of intense Valorant action, two teams will face each other in the grand final stage to be crowned the champion of VCT LOCK//IN 2023. But before the much-anticipated mano a mano, Riot Games has planned some sweet surprises for the fans.

Here are three major reasons why you need to tune into the VCT LOCK//IN grand finals stream.

Tarik vs frttt showmatch

Riot Games announced a Valorant Showmatch featuring powerhouse content creators tarik and frttt in the VCT LOCK//IN Showmatch

Riot Games announced an exhilarating showmatch featuring two of the best content creators. This Valorant showmatch will feature North American content creator Tarik “tarik” Celik and Brazilian streamer Leonardo “frttt” Braz alongside their chosen teammates. If you have been following the Valorant esports space, you will know that both tarik and frttt have a huge fan following, thanks to their engaging VCT co-streams and watch parties. The tarik vs frttt showmatch at VCT LOCK//IN 2023 will be played right before the grand final match.

Valorant’s new agent reveal

Valorant players are also excited to see what Riot Games has in store for them in terms of new releases, be it cosmetics, maps, or agents. The last agent released in Valorant was Harbor and he made it onto the live servers on 18th October 2022. This Indian agent is a controller in the game who has the ability to bend and use water as per his will.

Ahead of the official reveal of Agent 22 during the VCT LOCK//IN showmatch on the grand finals day, Riot Games has been posting teasers on its social media, giving players insight into the story behind the upcoming agent. Now, over the last week, there were multiple leaks suggesting that the next agent in Valorant will likely be called ‘Gekko’.

Leaks suggest that this agent will be an initiator and notably, the agent’s gameplay will be shown officially to the public during the tarik vs frttt showmatch.

Additionally, ValorLeaks stated that fans will be “getting a banger of a song this time from one of my favorite artists” and this artist happens to be pop singer ericdoa.

VCT LOCK//IN drops

Valorant players can get their hands on an exclusive VCT LOCK//IN drop on Twitch and YouTube. The drop is a ‘Dad Hat’ gun buddy that players can sport in-game. Riot Games said, “Tune in for the Agent reveal and showmatch and stay for the Grand Finals where you can earn the in-game VCT LOCK//IN Dad Hat Gun Buddy just by watching.

The VCT LOCK//IN grand finals day broadcast starts at 9 am PT/ 12 pm EST/ 5 pm GMT on 4th March, noted Riot Games. Tune in to the showmatch and watch the grand finals match to get to know everything about the new agent and their abilities.
