Riot Games announced an exciting showmatch for Valorant featuring two of the best content creators. Valorant’s first showmatch is confirmed to feature North American content creator Tarik “tarik” Celik and Brazilian streamer Leonardo “frttt” Braz alongside their chosen teammates. Both tarik and frttt are not new to the Valorant scene since they have been co-streaming the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) tournaments for quite a while now and they both command a huge chunk of the audience. This VCT LOCK//IN showmatch will be played in front of a live crowd in Brazil, stated Riot Games.
Talking about this showmatch, Riot Games wrote, “After three weeks of non-stop competition, LOCK//IN has a few surprises left: one of which will be a do-or-die showdown with some unexpected faces.”
While tarik is a part of Sentinels, Brazilian star frttt is Team Liquid’s content creator. Here’s everything we know about the VCT LOCK//IN Showmatch so far.
When is the VCT LOCK//IN showmatch?
The tarik vs frttt VCT LOCK//IN showmatch is scheduled to happen right before the grand finals of the event on 4th March. Riot Games confirmed that the broadcast will kick off at 9 am PT on 4th March and after this concludes, fans will get to witness the finals of what is deemed as Valorant’s biggest LAN event. Notably, the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN São Paulo is being held at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera, an indoor sporting arena located in the heart of São Paulo, Brazil with a capacity of 11,000 people.
VCT LOCK//IN Showmatch format, teams & More
Riot Games announced that the tarik vs frttt showmatch will be a best-of-one match. Given the nature of showmatches, it is fair to say that even one match of high-intensity Valorant action will provide the audience with entertainment. Riot Games added, “While the full rosters haven't been announced, get ready for a server full of big personalities, and some good old-fashioned trash talk—all happening live before a crowd of our Brazilian community.”
