Free Fire enters a two-year partnership with the Brazilian national football team, as officially announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and Free Fire - Brazil.
The partnership allows Free Fire to use Brazilian team jerseys in-game as skins, while Free Fire appears on advertising boards and player interviews of the Brazilian team.
This is not Free Fire's first football-related partnership, as they have earlier collaborated with one of the biggest sporting stars, Cristiano Ronaldo for Operation Chrono.

Free Fire has been going strong and reaching new heights in the last few months. Continuing upwards on the success ladder, Garena, on 5th August announced a two-year partnership between Free Fire and the Brazil national football team. This comes following a path of successful milestones that the game has achieved recently, such as the mobile title becoming the highest-earning Battle Royale in the U.S a few months back in April. This was followed by the game reportedly becoming the highest-grossing mobile game in Latin America, SEA, and India. Just last month in July, Free Fire even registered more than a billion downloads on the Google Play Store.

On the competitive front, Free Fire has set a new record with Free Fire World Series 2021 (FFWS 2021), peaking at over 5.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched esports tournament of all time.

Free Fire is known for its successful collaborations with multiple big brands and companies mostly for in-game activations and such. Some of its most successful recent collaborations include Free Fire x McLaren, Free Fire x Street Fighter V, Free Fire × Attack on Titan, Free Fire x CR7, and more.

This time however, Free Fire has gone on to sponsor the Brazilian national football team, with the announcement being made by both the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and Free Fire - Brazil.

Alongside digital activations, Free Fire’s brand will also be in training stadium signage, on interview backdrops and, of course, with official items on Free Fire. This represents the union of two greatest Brazilian passions: Free Fire and football.

Speaking about official items in Free Fire, the Battle Royale will now use the Brazilian team jerseys in-game as skins. This could be a local activation considering how popular the game is in the country, however, there is no official announcement about this so far.

The partnership will be active for two years across all Brazilian national football teams, though the sponsorship amount has not been revealed so far. The Operations Director of Garena Brazil, Fernando Maaza said that the partnership with CBF is a strategic one, as it will bring an extremely relevant audience (mobile gamers) to their market.

This is not the first time that Free Fire is in a partnership related to football. Previously, they have collaborated with a football legend and one of the biggest sporting stars in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo. This collaboration was struck as part of the in-game event, Operation Chrono which featured Ronaldo as a playable character.
