Fnatic vs G2 Esports - A Rivalry that will not fizzle out

Fnatic has been the stalwart of the European League of Legends landscape. It has been competing at the top level since 2011 and even won the first-ever World Championship. On the other hand, G2 Esports made an entry into what was then known as the European League of Legends Championship Series in 2016 and has been a tough contender ever since. Since 2013, Fnatic has picked up seven LEC titles and G2 Esports, in this short time of six years (from 2016), has lifted nine LEC trophies.

Surely the team compositions have changed and the veteran players of the teams have moved on to different sides. However, the rivalry still holds strong. Before the start of the 2022 Spring season, former G2 top-laner Martin “Wunder” Nordahl Hansen joined Fnatic and added spice to the competition.
