Team Secret bids farewell to carry player MATUMBAMAN

Team Secret’s updated Dota 2 roster:

  1. TBD

  2. Michał "Nisha" Jankowski

  3. TBD

  4. Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat

  • Lee "Heen" Seung Gon (Coach)

Puppey commented on MATUMBAMAN's departure in the blog:

“Another chapter has ended, but never forgotten. Lasse is an amazing guy and I really enjoyed being teammates with him. We shared some great moments together and I am sure that we will keep crossing paths outside of our careers. Good luck to you Matu!”

MATUMBAMAN also shared his sentiments, mentioning how much he enjoyed playing with his teammates during the past year.

MATUMBAMAN's statement on his exit from Team Secret

After a rough showcasing with Chaos Esports Club at The International 9 (TI9), MATUMBAMAN joined Team Secret in Nov 2019. In an interview during ESL One Germany 2020, the player described how Team Secret recruited him at a crucial time in his career. “I kind of got a lifeline from Team Secret. It could have been the end of my career after TI9. Team Secret gave me a chance and I appreciate it and I am living it to the fullest.”

MATUMBAMAN immediately achieved success as Team Secret won the DreamLeague S13 Major in Jan 2020. The rest of the year proved fruitful as well since the team won eight consecutive tournaments with a 3-0 score in the finals. During the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021, Team Secret provided some outstanding performances. The team seemed to have lost momentum towards the latter half of the season, but bounced back at TI10 and finished in a commendable third place.

At the moment, it is unknown which new team MATUMBAMAN will join. The first regional league of the DPC 2021-22 season will lock rosters on 21st Nov 2021. Consequently, some significant announcements are expected over the coming days.
