Team Spirit certainly has the TI mojo. The team has pulled off yet another upset at TI10 by defeating Team Secret in the lower bracket final. Team Spirit has now qualified as the second grand finalist at the event and will face PSG.LGD for the championship. In the lower bracket final series, Team Secret put on a spectacular performance, but a couple of misplays combined with Team Spirit's faultless teamfight kills resulted in a 2-1 victory for Team Spirit. Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk, the 18-year-old carry player for Team Spirit, achieved an incredible feat in the series by becoming the first player to get three Rampages on a TI Main Stage.

Team Secret vs Team Spirit: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

In Game 1, Team Secret gave Collapse his signature Mars, which raised questions. However, Team Secret was well prepared since it won that lane with Puppey's Elder Titan. Additionally, Nisha outperformed TORONTOTOKYO in the midlane, which led to Team Secret winning the laning stage. The team maintained the lead and assuredly converted it into objectives. While Team Spirit had a couple of strong fights, the opponents won in 39 minutes.

Game 2 was a slow paced contest as both teams' cores were focused on farming. Team Spirit had a lead at one point, but Team Secret struck back with strong teamfight execution to bring the networth down to even and effectively gain the momentum for victory. Finally, it came down to a couple of sneaky pickoffs from Team Spirit under its Observer Ward. It allowed the team to charge to the enemy base and take out the Ancient after realizing that MATUMBAMAN had no buyback.

Game 3 saw Team Spirit let the Tiny go at the draft stage, and Team Secret picked it up right away. Team Secret then chose the Tiny Lycan combo. Early on, Team Secret had a slight advantage with Nisha's Lina outperforming TORONTOTOKYO's Storm Spirit. Team Secret had a big timing advantage when Lycan got the Aghanim's Scepter, but Team Spirit had such potent spellcasting that it was able to contain MATUMBAMAN's Tiny. Consequently, Team Spirit won in 41 minutes.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

After falling to Invictus Gaming on the first day of TI10's Main Event, Team Spirit has been on a tear, taking down Fnatic, OG, Virtus.pro, Invictus Gaming, and Team Secret. Their players have demonstrated not only excellent mechanical skills, but also great pressure handling and mental fortitude to make it to this point.

Now the grand final stage is set - the invincibles of PSG.LGD versus the magicians of Team Spirit. It will be only one who hoists the Aegis of the Champions at TI10.
