S1mple Explains How The 'NAVI Era' Will Start
The GOAT speaks about the 'NAVI Era'.
Natus Vincere (NAVI) has truly dominated 2021 when it comes to CS:GO in every which way possible. They have left a lasting impression by breaking a few records and setting some new ones, while also witnessing the rise of Valerii "b1t" Vakhovskyi and utter domination by Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev.
Despite all this, a debate continues to brew within the CS:GO community about whether the 'NAVI Era' has already begun or not. While many have given their thoughts and opinions on the matter, all that s1mple had to say was "I think, people will realize when it starts".
He went on to explain when and how would the 'NAVI Era' truly begin in his eyes, in an interview with HLTV.
S1mple talks about when and how will the 'NAVI Era' start
This has been the best year for s1mple in his CS:GO career so far. He has already won seven MVP (Most Valuable Player) awards this year and is just one away from equalizing the record for most MVP awards won overall.
But it hasn't been a one man show for the star, as this year the whole NAVI lineup has upped their game, charging forward as an indomitable unit. They have not only won all the CS:GO LAN tournaments this year which includes the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, but have also remained undefeated across all of them by not dropping a single series.
Despite all the glory and the commendations, s1mple is not completely satisfied and feels that the team has still not achieved enough to call it NAVI's era.
According to s1mple, this is what the team still needs to do for their era to actually begin,
I think we can do even more to say that we started an era, you know? Like for example, I remember how Astralis won three LAN tournaments in a row, how NAVI in 2018 won three LANs, but when you've got five or six, that's when an era starts, especially LAN tournaments. So our next goal will be to win even more in a row.Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev - Interview with HLTV
The 24-year-old is hungrier than ever to win more. He has already expressed after the Stockholm Major what he aims to achieve next along with NAVI, and those plans haven't changed a bit.
Since the Major, NAVI has gone on to win BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2021 and will be seen in action once again at the BLAST Premier: World Finals 2021 later in December. Maybe a victory in this tournament will be enough to convince s1mple that the 'NAVI Era' has finally begun!
