Natus Vincere (NAVI) sets a new prize money record to register the most successful year ever by a team in CS:GO.
NAVI has earned a total of $3,775,500 from 15 CS:GO tournaments so far in 2021, breaking Astralis' record of $3,651,650 from 20 events in 2018.
NAVI has won both the Intel Grand Slam Season 3 and Stockholm Major in 2021, while also remaining unbeaten on LAN so far this year.

Natus Vincere (NAVI) is on the verge of establishing its own 'NAVI Era' in CS:GO, with some even arguing that it is already underway. While this might be a debatable topic, their success in 2021 is can not be questioned. The CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) juggernauts have won every big CS:GO tournament this year including the Stockholm Major, while also staying undefeated on LAN.

If this wasn't enough, NAVI has also managed to break Astralis' record for most prize money won in a calendar year by a CS:GO team, a massive $3,775,500 USD from a total of 15 tournaments in 2021 so far, according to Esports Earnings.

The above achievement marks this historic run by NAVI as the most successful year ever for a CS:GO team, in terms of both tournaments won and prize money collected.

NAVI despite playing with a rookie, Valerii "b1t" Vakhovskyi, has gone on to achieve unprecedented success in competitive CS:GO this year. They have won two of the most prestigious CS:GO titles in 2021, Intel Grand Slam Season 3 and PGL Major Stockholm, while remaining undefeated throughout their run on LAN.

Their star player, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, has racked up a record equalizing seven MVP (Most Valuable Player) awards this year, just one away from reaching a total of 19 MVP awards to break even with Nicolai "device" Reedtz.

All these achievements have resulted in NAVI setting a new record for most prize money won in a calendar year by a CS:GO team, more than $3.7 Million from a total of 15 tournaments so far. With this, NAVI beat Astralis' previous record of $3,651,650 USD from 20 tournaments which they had set in 2018.

NAVI's prize money from this year alone contributes to about 49.31% of the total prize money that they have earned from CS:GO tournaments since 2013. This speaks volumes about how huge 2021 has been for them as an organization, registering the most successful year ever for a team in CS:GO.

A few big CS:GO tournaments won by NAVI that has helped them in achieving this feat are:

  • BLAST Premier: Global Finals 2020 - $600,000 USD

  • DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 - $100,000 USD

  • IEM Cologne 2021 - $400,000 USD

  • Intel Grand Slam Season 3 - $1,000,000 USD

  • PGL Major Stockholm 2021 - $1,000,000 USD

  • BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2021 - $225,000 USD

NAVI will be looking to improve upon this record while maintaining its unbeaten streak on LAN by aiming for a victory at the upcoming BLAST Premier World Final 2021, scheduled to take place from 14th-19th December 2021.
