S1mple was declared as the MVP of BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2021 in light of his impressive performance at the tournament.
With this MVP award, s1mple has equalized the record set by dev1ce three years ago in 2018 of maximum MVPs won in a year.

Natus Vincere (NAVI) is on a hot win streak, achieving victory at four consecutive LAN CS:GO tournaments, while also remaining unbeaten on LAN in 2021 so far. Though their entire CS:GO roster has stepped up its game as a team, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, remains the undisputed champion leading his side from the front.

The deadly AWPer has already won seven MVP (Most Valuable Player) awards this year, equalizing the record set by Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz three years ago in 2018. A win at the upcoming BLAST Premier: World Final 2021 along with an impressive individual performance will ensure a new feat being achieved by s1mple.

Talking about his impeccable run this year, s1mple gave all the credit behind his individual prowess to his teammates and NAVI, during an interview with HLTV.

The GOAT (greatest of all time) of Counter-Strike might have won numerous individual accolades this year on the back of many outstanding performances, but these achievements haven't strayed him from his objective of winning with NAVI as a team.

Speaking about the fact that he has tied dev1ce's record of most number of MVP titles won in a year, and is now just one more award away from tying him for overall number of MVPs, the NAVI star while giving credit to his team and NAVI said that,

It feels good. I wanted b1t or maybe electronic to get it, but after(wards) I thought we need to break this record you know, or at least tie it. Only because of my team I played so good right now. Only when we are playing great CS I can show what I'm capable of. Everything is thanks to my team and organization, without them I wouldn't get one.

S1mple held an overall HLTV rating of 1.39 at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2021, which was the highest among all participants. He held a K/D of +84 in 250 rounds across a total of 10 maps which bagged him the MVP award.

So far he has won an MVP at the following tournaments in 2021,

  1. BLAST Premier Global Final 2020

  2. DreamHack Masters Spring 2021

  3. StarLadder CIS RMR

  4. IEM Cologne 2021

  5. ESL Pro League Season 14

  6. PGL Major Stockholm 2021

  7. BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2021

It will be interesting to see how s1mple performs at BLAST Premier: World Final 2021 which could possibly be NAVI's last CS:GO tournament of 2021. It is surely an important tournament for the Ukrainian side who would be thinking of nothing but victory, keeping their flawless run intact and stepping into 2022 stronger than ever before.
