FaZe Clan's entry fragger, rain had nothing but praise for s1mple's performance against them at IEM Cologne 2021.
Rain in a recent interview with ESL said that, "I have never felt that kind of horror from one player before".
FaZe Clan is set to go up against Na'Vi on 31st August at the currently ongoing ESL Pro League Season 14.

FaZe Clan's entry fragger, Håvard "rain" Nygaard had nothing but praise for one of the best CS:GO players in the world, Na'Vi star AWPer, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev. During a recent post-match interview at the currently ongoing ESL Pro League Season 14, rain, while answering a question about how prepared FaZe was to take on Na'Vi after their IEM Cologne 2021 semifinals faceoff, the 26-year-old said that, "I think we can definitely compete with Na'Vi."

However, rain followed this up by praising how insane s1mple was during their semifinals matchup, commending the mentality and form that the AWPer was in during the entirety of the tournament. Rain specified that he is the main player for Na'Vi and that in order to defeat them, it was important to shut him down.

FaZe Clan is doing pretty well at ESL Pro League Season 14 so far, having won two out of three matches so far. Group-C is going pretty tight at the moment as the top-four teams on the table have all won two out of the three matches that they have played, round-difference being the only factor determining their rank.

Amidst this hustle, FaZe Clan's current longest standing CS:GO member, rain, during a post match interview was asked about how prepared they were to take on Na'Vi in their last match of the group stage, scheduled to take place tomorrow on 31st August.

While rain did say that they were prepared to go up against Na'Vi, he followed it up by saying this about s1mple,

In Cologne we came in cold and s1mple kind of just crushed us, like the mentality he had in Cologne, I have never felt like that kind of horror from one player before. You know it is like, I'm watching my teammates in a 1v4 and he has a Galil with no armor, they have to peek him to save and I know he will kill three people you know because he hits every single shot.

He continued by stating that he has not played him after the player break so he does not know what kind of form s1mple is in. According to him, to defeat Na'Vi, the team has to shutdown s1mple first as he is the "main fighter" for the side.

It is definitely going to be an exciting faceoff between the two teams as they are currently tied on the leaderboard, round-difference being the only thing separating them by just one rank.
