The community is excited for the upcoming Episode 7 Act 1 of Valorant which brings with it a lot of gameplay changes and other things. It will release along with the Valorant Patch 7.0, details of which have been shared thanks to the Public Beta Environment (PBE) provided by the developers.

PBE is a service officially provided by Valorant to which interested players can register for trying out certain features coming to the game. In simpler terms, it is a test server where selected players can tinker around to help developers tune changes before taking them live.

Here are complete patch notes for the next Valorant update along with details about when it will release, all highlight changes, the new agent, and even some bug fixes.

Valorant Patch 7.0 (PBE): Complete Details

General Updates

  • Spray Wheel

Text has been added to the Spray equip screen for indicating your bound key binds.

Modes Updates

  • Team Deathmatch

This is a team-based 5v5 deathmatch game mode where the first team to achieve 100 kills or the highest score at the end of 10 minutes wins.

Agent Updates

A new Sentinel agent has been added to the game called Deadlock. She is a Norwegian agent with a history connecting her to Sova.

  • Barrier Mesh (E)

Deadlock will equip a Barrier Mesh disk, which can be launched by using the Fire button. When it touches the ground, it creates an energy barrier that blocks players from entering the area.

  • Sonic Sensor (Q)

Deadlock launches a sensor that monitors an area for sounds. Whenever there are footsteps or heavy gunfire where the trap has been deployed, it detonates, concussing everyone caught in its radius.

  • GravNet (C)

This ability allows Deadlock to launch a grenade that transforms into a net. The grenade detonates when it touches the ground. Any enemy caught within its area of effect is forced to crouch while moving and is slowed down.

  • Annihilation (X)

Deadlock's ultimate can affect single targets only. When triggered, the Agent will release a wave of nanowires that captures the first enemy they hit and wraps them inside a cocoon. This captured enemy is pulled back and will die if the wires reach their point of origin. The only way to nullify it is by destroying the cocoon.

Progression Updates

  • Daily Rewards

This pre-existing feature will get a solid revamp. The daily progress of your matches will be monitored on a Checkpoint Track. Each checkpoint will yield certain quantities of XP along with the new in-game currency, Kingdom Credits.

  • Agent Recruitment Event

There is a new way to unlock Agents in Valorant, starting from Deadlock. Every new Agent will have their own Agent Recruitment Event upon release. Players will have to finish certain objectives and gather XP within a certain period of time to unlock the agent.

They can also purchase the Agent directly using VP while the event is active and with Kingdom Credits after the event ends.

  • Agent Gear

The Agent Gear will consist of cosmetic items and a weapon skin unique to the Agent. As always, players will be able to obtain them by grinding or they can simply purchase them using VP or KC.

Earlier, Level 5 used to unlock the Agent. However, now that things have changed Level 5 will grant players a flat amount of Kingdom Credits.

  • Accessory Store

A new shop has been added to Valorant where Kingdom Credits can be used to purchase cosmetic items from previous battlepasses like Player Cards, Sprays, Titles, and Gun Buddies.
