Goblin was benched due to performance related issues.

The ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 The Grind and Battleground Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 has proven to be one of the toughest tournaments in recent times. Experienced teams have found it difficult to counter underdog teams and their strategies.

Amidst the fierce battles, Team Soul has dominated BGIS 2023 The Grind but It has failed to show the same kind of dominance in BGMS Season 2. The team has shown glimpses of brilliance but has not been able to maintain consistency in BGMS Season 2.

Recently S8UL Siddhant “Sid” Joshi revealed that Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal was benched for League Week 2 and Super Weekend 2 of BGMS Season 2. Since then, Team Soul has not been able to perform consistently. Fans were curious about when Goblin would return to the playing four and Soul Amit “Amit” Dubey responded to the issue.

Soul Amit reveals when Goblin can return

Team Soul has failed to impress fans in League Week 2. It barely qualified for Super Weekend 2 with the finest of margins. The team is having contrasting performances, on one side it has almost guaranteed itself a seat in BGIS 2023 Round 3 in just three matches whereas in Super Weekend 2 Day 1 the team secured only 4 points in 3 matches.

In a recent live stream, Soul Amit was asked about Goblin’s return to the playing four to which he responded, “I don’t know if there is an answer to this question. If a player is sitting out there is never a practical answer to that question.

The only solution to this question is that I remove one of my players from the team and then I can tell you the playing four. When there are five players in a team the playing four is decided on performance of all the players. If a player is not performing he has to sit out. We also benched Hector, Akshat and Neyo in the initial stages of the tournament. Omega currently played the most number of matches between all of them and considering he is the IGL (in-game leader) he has to play all the matches.

There are a lot of possibilities going forward. There is no such condition that a certain player must play. The players who perform will be seen playing in the playing four”.

S8UL Sid had informed the fans through Twitter/X about the playing four for League Week 2 and Super Weekend 2. “The lineup for the remainder of the week including Super Weekend if we make it there - Akshat, Omega, Neyo, Hector”.

Fans are awaiting Goblin’s return to the playing four as he is an MVP (Most Valuable Player) for Team Soul. Goblin also missed League Week 2, which as per Sid, was due to both Goblin and Sahil “Omega” Jakhar falling ill. The fans will have to wait to see Goblin play as Team Soul’s current playing four are performing well in BGIS 2023 The Grind.
