The ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 has been difficult for many experienced teams as they failed to adapt to the new points system. To many people's surprise, Team Soul was eliminated from the BGMS Season 2 as it was unable to secure a spot in the top twelve of the playoffs.
Following this, S8UL manager Siddhant “Sid” Joshi revealed that the team is taking a break from scrims and tournaments for the moment, but will soon return and begin practicing for the Battlegrounds Mobile India India Series (BGIS) 2023.
Team Soul on a break Sid responds
Historically, Team Soul has been one of the most consistent teams and has been a dominant force in a majority of competitions in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). So its elimination from BGMS Season 2 was unexpected, given that it was one of the event's favorites.
In a recent live stream Sid was responding to the fans’ queries. When a viewer asked him why Team Soul is not playing scrims, he responded that, “Team Soul is on a break till 31st August. I completely understand each and every day is important before BGIS 2023 starts. Omega and Akshat were at the BGMS Season 2 event cheering for Team 8Bit even after Team Soul was eliminated. The players have gone through a lot of stress in the last event and they needed a week's break before they started practicing again”.
Team Soul was simultaneously playing BGMS Season 2 and the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) The Grind 2023. Fans were surprised because it dominated BGIS 2023 The Grind while performing poorly in BGMS Season 2.
Fans hope that Team Soul's elimination from BGMS Season 2 does not affect their confidence and performance in BGIS 2023 Round 3. Fans are still rooting for their favorite team to make a comeback and dominate the next competitions like they have in the past.
