S8UL faced Marcos Gaming in an exciting best-of-seven Grand Final with the final score reading '4-2' in its favor.
This was one of the four titles that was a part of the WD Black Cup Season 4 with a total prize pool of $2000 USD.

One of the most awaited Indian esports tournament with multiple titles as part of the competition, WD Black Cup Season 4, has crowned S8UL as its Pokemon Unite champion following an exciting Grand Finals clash.

WD Black Cup Season 4 Pokemon Unite took place from 1st to 6th February. The Group Stage took place across the first four days, followed by a day's break, and finally a best-of-seven Grand Finals took place between the two finalists.

S8UL and Marcos Gaming were the two qualifying teams, going head-to-head in an intense Grand Finals series where the latter tried its best to come back from a '3-0' deficit , but failed to accomplish the task.

As a result, S8UL with a '4-2' victory was crowned the champion of WD Black Cup Season 4 Pokemon Unite and walked away with lion's share of the $2,000 USD total prize pool.

Skyesports had handed direct invites to four of the best Pokemon Unite teams from across the country for this tournament - S8UL, Marcos Gaming, Revenant Esports, and Gods Reign.

The four teams took on each other in the Group Stage following a simple round-robin format, playing every other team twice. Based on the final overall scoreboard S8UL and Marcos Gaming faced off against each other in the Grand Finals.

S8UL with four wins out of six matches was the clear winner of the Group Stage. However, based on 'Win-Loss' Marcos Gaming was tied with Revenant Esports for the second available spot. To check which team goes through the category of 'Clean Sweep' was considered along with the 'Average Goals'.

With the stage and participants now set for the Grand Finals, the best-of-seven marathon kicked off, delivering an exciting series where S8UL took a huge early lead by winning the first three games and Marcos Gaming tried to fight back but failed to go all the way.

In the end, it was a '4-2' scoreline that went the way of S8UL, who was crowned as the champion while establishing why it is a cut above the rest.
