The Indian gaming community is witnessing an influx of new competitive titles like Pokemon UNITE and New State Mobile, filling the void left wide open after BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) was banned by the Government of India.

AA Gaming included the Pokemon UNITE as part of its AAA Esports Series along with three other games. Talking about Pokemon UNITE, this tournament showcased a combination of directly invited teams and open qualifiers, providing aspiring teams a chance to play against established rosters.

Open Phase of the tournament featured registered teams going against each other. The four teams that qualified through the open qualifiers were,

  1. Orgless 5

  2. X-Contribution

  3. Oath Esports

  4. Pride Official

Invited Phase of the tournament featured eight directly invited teams, divided into two groups of four teams each with the top two teams from each group moving ahead to the next stage. The four teams that qualified through this stage were,

  1. True Rippers

  2. S8UL Esports

  3. Revenant Esports

  4. Marcos Gaming

The Final Phase of the tournament featured these eight teams with S8UL Esports and Marcos Gaming hustling all the way through to the grand finals.

S8UL made quick work of the opposition by handing Marcos Gaming a clean '3-0' defeat. Despite the dominating performance, it was SNOWYY from Marcos Gaming who walked away as the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of this tournament, delivering consistently every match.

With different teams winning various Pokemon UNITE tournaments across the board, it will be interesting to see which of these teams becomes the top dog a few months down the line.
