WD Black Cup Season 4 Announced: Esports Titles, Registration Details, Prizepool
A trio of competitive titles to enthrall the Indian audience.
One of the mainstay annual esports tournaments that is an integral part of the Indian competitive circuit, WD Black Cup Season 4, has been announced by Skyesports featuring four esports titles and a total prize pool of $11,000 USD (INR 8,96,660).
The fourth season of this tournament is set to feature the following titles,
CS:GO - One of the oldest, classic competitive shooters
Dota 2 - Another massive hit from Valve
Pokemon Unite - The quickly growing mobile title in India
Real Cricket 22 - A classic cricket title for mobile devices
Together these four titles will comprise of a total $11,000 in prize money, CS:GO with $5000, Dota 2 with $2000, Pokemon Unite with $2000, and Real Cricket 22 with $2000.
Update: Overwatch 2 was initially announced as one of the competing titles for WD Black Cup Season 4, but has since been replaced by Dota 2 and Pokemon Unite.
Here is a statement AFK Gaming has received from a Skyesports representative, "Overwatch 2 was removed from the WD Black Cup Season 4 due to reasons outside our control."
Skyesports announces details about the WD Black Cup Season 4
After teasing the arrival of WD Black Cup Season 4, Skyesports has finally revealed information about the upcoming esports tournament which is being sponsored by Nvidia GeForce and Amazon India.
The third tournament of 2023 by Skyesports will feature four different esports titles, CS:GO, Dota 2, Pokemon Unite, and Real Cricket 22, with a combined total prize pool of $11,000 USD.
CS:GO
Registration Dates: 23rd Jan to 2nd Feb
Event Dates: 4th to 8th Feb
Grand Finals (LAN): 18th Feb
Prize Pool: $5,000 USD
As promised by Shiva "Marvel" Nandy - CEO of Skyesports, the iconic competitive first-person shooter, CS:GO, will be a part of the WD Black Cup Season 4 which will take place between January and February.
This event has been labeled as a 'Pro Tournament' which could potentially lead to teams qualifying through the Open Qualifiers going up against professional direct invites before heading into the Playoffs.

Dota 2
Event Dates: 1st to 5th Feb
Prize Pool: $2,000 USD
One of the most famous MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) titles in the world, Dota 2, will be a part of this tournament with multipleorganizers from India attempting to revive the title once again in the region.
Unlike the other events, this is going to be an invitational tournament with four of the best teams from across India taking on each other for the championship title.
There will not be any registration process for these titles as all the participants have been handed direct invites.
Pokemon Unite
Event Dates: 1st to 5th Feb
Prize Pool: $2,000 USD
The mobile gaming title, Pokemon Unite, is quickly gaining a lot of momentum in India with multiple tournaments being organized and the country has also received direct slots for various international events.
Keeping this in mind, Skyesports has included the game as one of the competing titles with four announced teams set to compete in it. Again, there will be no registration process for this particular event and the names of all participants will be announced soon.
Real Cricket 22
Registration Dates: 23rd to 30th Jan
Event Dates: 1st to 9th Feb
Grand Finals (LAN): 18th Feb
Prize Pool: $2,000 USD
One of the leading cricket-based mobile games, Real Cricket 22, which is available for both iOS and Android users will be held as the third title for the tournament.
