One of the most awaited international PUBG Mobile tournaments of the year has been announced, PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022. This event will be one of the two global level competitions being organized by Krafton and Tencent this season alongside, PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022.
Both these events will together host a prize pool of $7,000,000 USD (INR 55,28,53,000) divided in a 3:4 ratio, with PMWI 2022 featuring $3,000,000 USD (INR 23,83,06,500).
The upcoming PMWI 2022 will be taking place at the Riyadh Boulevard in Saudi Arabia from 11th to 20th August across two separate weeks, Main Tournament in the first followed by Afterparty Showdown in the second. A total of 25 teams will be participating in this tournament, coming together from different regions across the globe for an international faceoff.

One of the biggest international PUBG Mobile tournaments of the year, PMWI 2022, is all set to take place offline at the Riyadh Boulevard in Riyadh, UAE.

Teams that qualified for PMWI 2022
A total of 25 teams from around the world have qualified or been handed a direct invited for the PMWI 2022.
18 of those teams that are competing in the Main Tournament have made way for themselves by winning their respective regional tournaments like PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL), PUBG Mobile Pro Series (PMPS), PUBG Mobile Japan League (PMJL), Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL), and BGMI Pro Series (BMPS).

The remaining seven teams that will be participating in the Afterparty Showdown have been handed direct invites based on an audience vote. Additionally, the top five teams from the first week will also qualifying for this stage of the tournament.

Format for PMWI 2022
The tournament has been divided into two weeks, the first week will be featuring the 'Main Tournament' while the subsequent week will be hosting the 'Afterparty Showdown'.
Main Tournament
The main tournament features a total prize pool of $2,000,000 USD and is scheduled to take place from 11th to 13th August. All the 18 qualified teams will be competing together across three maps - Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok.
A total of six matches will be played on each day, resulting in a total of 18 matches across the stage. The map order across all the three days will be Erangel > Miramar > Sanhok > Erangel > Miramar > Erangel.
In total, Erangel will be played nine times, MIramar will be played six times, and Sanhok will only be played three times.
Afterparty Showdown
This is the change in format that the tournament organizers have introduced to PMWI 2022. It features a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD and is scheduled to take place from 18th to 20th August.
A different set of teams will be competing in this side tournament. The 12 participating teams will comprise of top five teams from the 'Main Tournament', six teams from chosen regions (specific slots to be announced later), and one special invite.
Prize Pool split for PMWI 2022
The tournament organizers have announced a combined total prize pool of seven million for both the global PUBG Mobile tournaments, three million for PMWI 2022 and four million for PMGC 2022.
Further, the PMWI 2022 prize money has been divided between the two weeks with two million for the 'Main Tournament' and one million for the 'Afterparty Showdown'.
