The PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 (PMWI) is finally underway with Vampire Esports being crowned as the champions after winning the main tournament last week.
Following its culmination the second stage of the competition, PMWI 2022 Afterparty Showdown is all set to take place from 18th to 20th August, featuring an additional prize pool of $1,000,000 USD (INR 7,95,06,050).
This is one of the two global tournaments that will be organized by Krafton and Tencent this year, the other being PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022 featuring a $4,000,000 USD prize pool.
The action will continue to take place at the Riyadh Boulevard in Saudi Arabia across the coming week, with 12 teams from different regions across the world coming together for an international faceoff.

Format for PMWI 2022 Afterparty Showdown
First part of the tournament has already been played out, featuring the main event, while the second part of the competition will be taking place across the coming weekend.
Afterparty Showdown, is the change in format introduced by the tournament organizers this year for the PMWI 2022.
Unlike the regular competitive PUBG Mobile tournaments, this fun side event will feature maps like Livik, Vikendi, and Karakin, alongside the regular Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok.
A total of six matches will be played on each day, resulting in a total of 18 matches across the stage. The map order across all three days will be Erangel > Livik > Vikendi > Karakin > Sanhok > Miramar.
In total, all the six maps will be played a total of three times, once daily, making this a truly fun and unpredictable tournament to watch.
Prize Pool for PMWI 2022 Afterparty Showdown
The PMWI 2022 prize money has been divided between the two weeks with two million for the 'Main Tournament' and one million for the 'Afterparty Showdown'.
All teams competing in the Afterparty Showdown will be walking away with some part of the $406,000 fixed prize pool, based on their position on the leaderboards.
The remaining $594,000 USD has been split between match rewards worth $414,000 USD ($23,000 USD per match) and WWCD rewards amount to $180,000 ($10,000 USD to the winning team of every match).
