ECHO finished in the runner-up spot in the MPL PH Season 10.

Blacklist International finally succeeded in reclaiming its championship title in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia (ID) Season 10. While this was a huge statement for the crowned champions, the runner-up team, ECHO, showed its prowess through the grand finals series. The Orcas’ star roamer, Tristan "YAWI" Cabrera was among the players who have shown their surprise tactics and unorthodox picks which put the fans at the edge of their seats. Through a post-match press conference, Blacklist International’s queen, Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna acknowledged Yawi’s expertise as ECHO’s roamer and stated that she wants to play with him as a teammate someday.

After finishing an upsetting 6th place last season, ECHO redeemed itself with a dominant run in Season 10. The Orcas' momentum, however, was halted by the royalties, Blacklist International, who were also eager to retake its throne after failing to defend it last season.

Fans shared ECHO's frustration following its loss in the grand finals, particularly its roamer YAWI, who was seeking to prove himself by defeating his idol, OhMyV33NUS. While the team did not win the championship this season, its efforts were recognized by the community, notably by Blacklist International.

Through a post-match press conference, OhMyV33NUS shared how he was impressed by YAWI’s performance in the MPL PH Season 10.

“I was impressed with YAWI and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. Even the viewers, I feel that he has definitely proven himself to be world-class and a quality roamer,” said Blacklist International’s support specialist.

The queen added that both she and YAWI swapped esports jerseys and admitted that she wants to play with ECHO’s roamer as a teammate someday.

“Actually, we swapped jerseys a while ago,” stated OhMyV33NUS as she flashed an ECHO jersey with YAWI’s name on it. “YAWI is one of the players I’m looking forward to experiencing playing with as a teammate.”

While ECHO was unable to win an MPL PH trophy, the team still has several opportunities to pursue, including the forthcoming MPL Invitational 2022 and the M4 World Championship. It will be interesting to see how ECHO performs on an international stage.
