ECHO Sanford and Sanji Aim to Prove Themselves in the MPL PH S10 Playoffs
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10 playoffs match continues to heat up after a mighty clash between two rival teams. ECHO defeated RSG PH 3-1 in the first upper bracket semifinal match, bringing the legendary super team one step closer to the MPL PH Season 10 championship title and the ticket to the M4 World Championship. For a spot in the grand finals, RSG PH will have to fight in the lower bracket.
During a post-match press conference following their playoff victory over the defending champions, ECHO's two young talents expressed their excitement at finally being able to prove themselves in the MLBB esports scene.
ECHO secures a dominant victory against RSG PH
The iconic House of Highlights, ECHO, finally found its momentum after two seasons of early exits to score a surprising 3-1 victory against the reigning champion, RSG PH.
The renowned super team spearheaded the series with two consecutive wins. However, RSG PH was able to score a win in the third game thanks to the team’s reliable tank specialist Nathanael "Nathzz" Estrologo. The Radiers were ahead in all resources with a massive 10k gold lead and a 25-13 kill difference.
The rivalry between Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno and Jonard "Demonkite" Caranto continued in the fourth game. While RSG PH had the kill lead, ECHO had the advantage in terms of objectives and turrets. With a huge team fight advantage, the super team was able to win the game and close the series with a 3-1 score.
ECHO’s victory against RSG PH was a huge statement for Sanford and Sanji
The iconic SanSan duo of ECHO, Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya, and Alston "Sanji" Pabico were crucial in the team’s victory against RSG PH in the MPL PH Season 10 upper bracket semifinals. Through a post-match press conference, the duo shared how this victory was important to them.
“I’m very happy because were are now one win away from [securing an] M4 [World Championship slot]. RSG also were the champions last season so it’s really a big deal that we defeated them,” said Sanford.
He added that they “did not think of the pressure” so it wouldn’t affect their gameplay.
Sanji echoed Sanford’s statement, saying that “I’m happy because Sanford and I are still rookies but we’re close to proving ourselves in the [MLBB] pro scene.”
ECHO will be heading to the upper bracket finals on 22nd October at 11:00 AM (PHT). RSG PH will still have its chance at redemption through the lower brackets match on the same day at 3:00 PM (PHT).
