Gladiator Esports Crowned BGMS Season 2 Champion

Gladiator Esports made a comeback in the last match of the BGMS Season 2 Grand Finals and was was crowned the champion.
Orangutan Esports placed second and lost the championship battle by just 1 point.

The recently concluded Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 showcased some amazing matches for the viewers. After some intense battles in the Grand Finals Gladiator Esports was crowned the champion. 

Gladiator Esports was able to clinch the championship from Orangutan by just 1 point. It was placed on the top spot with 150 points and two chicken dinners from twelve matches. Orangutan was placed second with two chicken dinners and 149 total points. Velocity Gaming secured the third spot with 137 points and three chicken dinners. 

Gladiator Esports took home a massive sum of INR 1 Crore. Orangutan placed second and received INR 35 Lakhs. Velocity Gaming got INR 12.5 Lakhs for their third spot. 

Justin “Justin” Nadar from Gladiator Esports was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of BGMS Season 2 with 85 finishes to his name. Akshat “Akshat” Goel from Team Soul received the Audience Favorite Raider award and was also awarded a TVS Raider bike.

Gladiator Esports and Orangutan’s fight for the championship

The last day of the BGMS Season 2 Grand Finals saw an intense fight between Orangutan and Gladiator Esports. Orangutan dominated Day 1 and 2 and was unmoved from the first place. Day 3 was stressful as both of these teams went back and forth for the championship spot.

Match 1 saw Orangutan secure 12 points which helped it maintain its number one spot. On the other hand Gladiator Esports and Velocity Gaming did not have the best start to the day.

Velocity Gaming made a comeback in the second match and secured the chicken dinner with 22 total points. Gladiator Esports also showed some amazing rotations securing 25 points and moved to the top of the table. 

Orangutan grabbed an important chicken dinner on the map of Miramar and secured 25 total points. It also helped them move to the top of the table in the overall rankings. Gladiator Esports and Team Velocity continued their momentum and received 16 points each. 

Orangutan had to secure a couple of points from the last game of Erangel to be placed on the first spot and be crowned champion. It was unable to do so and was eliminated with no points in an initial fight with Velocity Gaming. Gladiator Esports fought with Team 8Bit and Team Insane simultaneously and secured 6 finish points but lost its In Game Leader (IGL) Ammar “Destro” Khan. Two more players from Gladiator Esports were also eliminated when they rushed on by a player from Global Esports. Parth "DeltaPG" Garg was its last man standing, and with the help of a heal battle in the final few circles, he was able to secure two crucial points, allowing the team to win the championship by one point. Velocity Gaming also grabbed 20 points from the match which helped it place third on the overall standings.

Overall the second edition of BGMS was an intense event as there were many experienced teams who couldn’t cope with the pressure and were eliminated from the tournament but on the other hand, fans also saw some amazing battles between young talented players and veteran players.
