The M2 World Champions, Bren Esports, released its sixth man Ejhay "Ejhay" Sambrano from its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team roster. He is currently the fourth pro player that has been released by Bren Esports amidst its roster revamp. Ejhay is a former member of the fabled Aether Main before it was eventually acquired by Bren Esports. As the team’s reserved player, Ejhay went on to contribute in acquiring the championship titles for the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 6 and the M2 World Championship. Bren Esports is yet to reveal the reason for the pro player’s departure from its team roster.
Veteran player Ejhay departs from Bren Esports
As one of the first pro players to join Bren Esports, Ejhay has officially left the team after six MPL seasons. The announcement was made through the official social media handles of Bren Esports, thanking the pro player for his contributions to the team.
“We'll be cheering you on and supporting you in your chosen career path. Thank you for the good run, Ejhay!” captioned Bren Esports.
Ejhay debuted as one of the pioneers of the Mobile Legends esports scene under Aether Main. He played as the team’s roamer alongside iconic veteran pro players such as Raven “L3bron” Alonzo and Kenneth Jiane "Kenji" Villa.
Bren Esports eventually acquired the team roster of Aether Main where Ejhay was placed as the team’s reserved player. He was eventually placed in the main five during the MPL PH Season 4 but went back as the team’s reserved role soon after. This was the only time he was able to play as one of the main five members throughout his career in Bren Esports.
The team went on to dominate the MPL PH Season 6 and the M2 World Championship. However, through a surprising turn of events, Bren Esports delivered an upsetting performance during the MPL PH Season 8, where it only finished 8th place and was unable to qualify for the playoffs stage.
Following this unsuccessful run, the team released its pro players Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno, Dwine "Rimuru" Enriquez, Raven "L3bron" Alonzo, and now Ejhay "Ejhay" Sambrano.
It will be interesting to see which team will acquire Ejhay in the upcoming MPL PH Season 9.
