The M2 World Champions, Bren Esports, released its star player Karl "Karltzy" Nepomuceno from its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang roster. The pro player is known to be one of the best junglers and was one of the key players that led Bren Esports to earn the championship title back in the M2 World Championship. However, KarlTzy and his team failed to impress the fans during the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8, where they only finished in 7th place. According to an official post from Bren Esports, KarlTzy voluntarily left the organization in search of new opportunities to grow as an esports pro player.

Bren Esports bids farewell to its star player KarlTzy

After the team’s subpar performance in the MPL PH Season 8, Bren Esports is looking to revamp its team roster. In a recent post through its official social media handles, the team announced the release of one of its iconic members, KarlTzy.

“Thank you for raising the black and yellow banner and more importantly, the flag of the Philippines,” captioned Bren Esports.

The pro player is one of the biggest contributors to Bren Esport’s biggest achievement yet in the Mobile Legends esports scene. With his impressive skills and mastery as the team’s jungler, the team was able to win the title of champions in the M2 World Championship after taking down the underdog team, Burmese Ghouls in the grand finals.

Returning to local esports events, the team delivered a subpar performance back in the MPL PH Season 8 and failed to qualify in the playoffs stage. The team only secured five wins and nine losses in the group stage which placed them in the 7th spot, eliminating them from the tournament.

Following Bren Esports elimination, the team soon released some of its pro players namely, Raven “L3bron” Alonzo and Dwine "Rimuru" Enriquez which was then followed by the departure of KarlTzy. The team is yet to reveal its plans for the upcoming MPL season. However, one thing is for certain that the team will no longer have its iconic member for the MPL PH Season 9.

It will be interesting to see which team will acquire KarlTzy in the upcoming MPL PH Season 9.
