Bren Esports bid farewell to one of its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang pro players Raven “L3bron” Alonzo. This announcement was made through a post on the esports organization’s social media handle on 22nd Nov 2021. The post received mixed criticism from fans due to the pro player only appearing once in the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8. Although L3bron did not play much during the tournament, he did contribute to the team behind the scenes by sharing his experience as one of the pioneers of Mobile Legends esports in the region. Bren Esports did not reveal the reason for the release of L3bron from its Mobile Legends roster.

L3bron departs from Bren Esports’ Mobile Legends roster

A few months after its upsetting performance in the MPL PH Season 8, Bren Esports released one of its pro players L3bron. The news was revealed through a Facebook post, thanking the pro player for his contributions to the team.

“As a pro-turned-content-creator, he showed us how innovative he can be and never failed to entertain all of us. It was a short run, but it was definitely worth the while to have him on the roster,” captioned Bren Esports.

L3bron’s departure received mixed reactions from the fans as the pro player barely played in the MPL PH Season 8. He only played once during the final match of the group stage, where he picked the hero Zilong and lost the match. Needless to say, his debut and exit were underwhelming for some of the fans.

Some fans in the esports scene were sad about his departure while others thought he barely made any contributions to the team during the MPL PH Season 8.

Some fans think L3bron was underutilized in the MPL PH Season 8.

The pro player is not a stranger to the Mobile Legends esports scene. He was a former member of Aether Main, one of the most iconic Mobile Legends teams who dominated the MPL PH Season 1. However, the pro player eventually transitioned to becoming a content creator and streamer while Aether Main was acquired by Bren Esports and its founder Setsuna "Dogie" Ignacio. Bren Esports then acquired him for the MPL PH Season 8 but the team never managed to maximize his capabilities as a pro player.

It will be interesting to see if L3bron will continue his journey as a pro player or will he return to being a Mobile Legends content creator and streamer.
