The M2 World Champions, Bren Esports, released its rookie Mobile Legends: Bang Bang pro player Dwine "Rimuru" Enriquez from its roster. The announcement was revealed through a post on the official social media handles of Bren Esports. Rimuru was considered as one of the promising rookies of the team. However, due to the team’s lackluster performance during the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8, the esports organization may be looking to revamp its team roster for the next season. So far, Bren Esports has released two of its pro players. The esports organization is yet to reveal the reason for the release of these pro players.

Rimuru departs from Bren Esports after only one season

Bren Esports definitely fell from grace after achieving its world championship title. The team had a subpar performance during the MPL PH Season 8, finishing 7th place with only five wins and nine losses. Despite the team fielding a lot of promising pro players, the team failed to impress its fans and was eliminated before it could reach the playoffs stage.

Amidst the pre-season of MPL PH Season 9, Bren Esports may be looking to revamp its roster by releasing its young prodigy Rimuru. The pro player debuted in the MPL PH Season 8 and has achieved a fan following due to his charismatic personality and good looks coupled with his mechanical skills.

The release of Rimuru from Bren Esports’ team roster was announced on 2nd Dec 2021. The organization thanked the rookie for his contributions to the team and wished him well on his next esports journey.

“We loved having you on the team, even for a short while. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors as a gamer!” captioned Bren Esports.

Bren Esports may be revamping its roster

Rimuru wasn’t the first to leave the team shortly after his debut in the MPL PH Season 8. The returning pro player, Raven “L3bron” Alonzo was also released by Bren Esports on 22nd Nov 2021. His departure received mixed reactions from the Mobile Legends community due to his lack of presence in the tournament. While L3bron barely played in the MPL PH Season 8, he contributed to the team behind the scenes by sharing his insights as a veteran player.

It will be interesting to see which team shall acquire Rimuru and allow him to continue his esports career for the upcoming MPL PH Season 9.
