Bren Esports has officially announced the departure of its veteran player Carlito "Ribo" Ribo Jr. The player is considered the GOAT (Greatest of All-Time) in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports scene in the Philippines (PH). Ribo has achieved a ton of titles including a Gold medal in the 2019 SEA (South East Asia) Games under the Sibol squad. The pro player previously took a brief hiatus and skipped the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) PH Season 9. Now, Ribo has returned to the competitive scene under the amateur team Z4 Esports. The amateur squad is managed by Omega Esports’ veteran player Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso.

Ribo returns to the MLBB esports scene under a new team

The veteran player’s departure was announced through a Facebook post made by Bren Esports on 27th June. This was following Z4 Esports' acquisition of the pro player.

“From winning the local MPL championships twice to representing the country in various competitions such as MSC, The Nationals, and the 2019 SEA Games, Ribo has done it all. This man has marked his name in the history of esports, most especially in the MLBB community.” captioned Bren Esports

The esports organization also thanked the pro player for his contributions to the team and wished him good luck on his journey moving forward. “Ultimately, some good times need to end. Ribo will now move forward with other opportunities beyond the Bren Esports grounds. We are forever grateful for the honor you have brought us and the country. We'll keep supporting you in your new journey. Cheers to many more achievements, the Greatest of All Time!” captioned Bren Esports.

Ribo’s next journey in the MLBB competitive scene is yet to be revealed. However, Z4pnu previously hinted that he may be signing Ribo in Omega Esports’ Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) division if Moonton ever decides to open the tournaments’ first season. For now, the veteran player shall be a part of Z4 Esports.
