After taking a brief hiatus in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports scene, Carlito "Ribo" Ribo Jr. returns under a new team, Z4 Esports. The team is managed by Omega Esports’ veteran player Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso and has been competing in various local tournaments in the Philippines (PH). Z4 Esports is yet to reveal what role Ribo will be playing and will he be a reserved player or part of the main squad. However, Z4pnu previously revealed that he was planning on signing the MLBB veteran for Omega Esports’ Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) roster once the league officially opens its first season in the region.

The MLBB GOAT Ribo joins Z4pnu’s amateur team

Ribo is renowned as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) and is also one of the Sibol medalists of the 2019 SEA (South East Asia) Games. His flexibility in all the roles allowed him to perform well in the MLBB competitive scene when he played for Bren Esports. However, the pro player had announced that he would be taking a break from the competitive scene. This was during the pre-season of the Mobile Legends: Professional League (MPL) PH Season 9.

With the recent announcement by Z4 Esports, it has been revealed that the MLBB GOAT shall return to the esports scene under a new banner.

Ribo Officially Joins Z4 Esports

It is still unclear as to whether Z4 Esports shall vye for a slot in the MPL PH Season 10 as Moonton is yet to announce if it will be opening up new slots for franchise teams. Z4pnu previously revealed that he was planning on purchasing a slot for the MPL. However, considering there was no available slot during Season 9, the team decided to compete in local tournaments in the meanwhile.

Rumors have also started spreading in the MLBB community of ONIC PH’s plans to disband its team roster and sell its franchise slot to other teams. However, the esports organization is yet to confirm or deny this rumor.

With one of the most iconic pro players in its lineup, it will be interesting to see what Z4 Esports shall bring to the table in the amateur MLBB esports scene.
