Mortal is one of the well known personalities in the Indian Gaming Community as well as at the international level.
He has represented India at the international stage as an esports athlete as well as a content creator for S8UL Esports.

Naman “Mortal” Mathur is a very well known personality in the Indian Gaming Community (IGC). He is the owner of iQOO Soul (previously Team Soul), a Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) team and is also the co-owner of S8UL Esports, an organization boasting multiple content creators and streamers under its banner. He has also represented India at the global stage in multiple PUBG Mobile tournaments. Besides this, Mortal also has a Youtube Channel with over 7 Million subscribers.

Mortal’s journey in the Indian gaming industry

Mortal started his journey in gaming by playing a variety of games on his Youtube channel in 2016. He rose to fame with the launch of PUBG Mobile in India and soon became one of the well known streamers in the industry. He started his journey as a PUBG Mobile esports athlete by forming Team Soul and won two major events, PUBG Mobile India Series (PMIS) and PUBG Mobile Club Open - Spring Split: India in 2019 in his debut year. After showcasing a brilliant display of aggressive yet controlled gameplay at both these events, Team Soul and Mortal soon became one of the fan favorite teams in India.

Mortal’s shift to content creation and streaming

After the conclusion of Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2022, Mortal completely shifted his focus from esports to content creation. He had revealed that due to the increasing competition in the esports scene it was hard maintaining a balance between running a Youtube Channel and playing esports. He has continued to live stream a variety of games on a daily basis, mainly including BGMI and Valorant. His BGMI live streams are focused on rank pushing to conqueror rank (highest rank in BGMI) and also playing with his viewers and subscribers in fun custom room matches.

S8UL Esports

Thug, owner and founder of Team 8Bit collaborated with his fellow partners, Lokesh “Goldy” Jain and Mortal to form S8UL Esports. The S8UL Esports organization boasts a number of well known content creators under its banner including the likes of Kaashvi “Kaash” Hiranandani, Regaltos, Aman “Aman” Jain, Mithul “Binks” Nayak, Raj “Snax” Varma and many more. The organization also has a Pokemon Unite lineup.

In 2022, S8UL Esports received its first international nomination at the Esports Awards in the Content Group of the Year category and also went on to win the award, becoming the first Indian organization to secure an award for content creation at the international stage. In 2023, S8UL Esports also won multiple international awards including the award for Global Impact on Mobile Gaming at The Mobies and Content Creator of the Year award at the Esports Awards. Mortal along with Thug and Goldy played a huge role in S8UL Esports’ success at the international level.

According to Liquipedia, Mortal, as an esports athlete has earned $57,165 USD from 2019 to 2022. Mortal has been actively live streaming and uploading highlight videos since the start of his career. Currently, his Youtube Channel named Mortal boasts 7 Million subscribers. According to Social Blade, his estimated earning for his Youtube Channel is $2.9K USD to $45.6K USD a month.

Mortal was also nominated for the Esports Personality of the Year Award at the Esports Awards 2022 and Content Creator of the Year 2023 at The Mobies.
