It is available for 6265 VP or $66 USD. Notably, this year, Riot Games has modified the theme and introduced red hues to the collection.
Most of the pro players in the Valorant esports scene have been expressing their views on the new Valorant Champions bundle after getting their hands on the new goodies.
New features in Valorant Champions bundle 2022
The new features for this collection include a custom model change, custom firing audio, and two new additions to the Champion’s Aura. Riot added that there will be a “visual effect that evolves every 5 kills (maxing out at 25 kills), and a special easter egg on the butterfly knife that triggers if you’re top fragging and have at least 25 kills. Sorry for the spoilers.”
TenZ and Zellsis talk about the Valorant Champions bundle
Sentinels pro player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo was looking at the Champions melee, the butterfly knife, and was struggling to find the difference in the Champions Aura for the kill stacks. He then said, “Oh, it fills up with red. So when it’s 25 kills, it’s full, full red.” TenZ also watched the kill animation for the Champions Phantom and added, “Eh, it’s alright” and was unfazed by it.
TenZ said he was thinking about whether or not to buy the new Valorant Champions bundle but was certain that he won’t use it. He added that he liked the 2021 Valorant Champions melee - the Karambit – better. “I think the light glow is just better. I think it’s a little too complicated to get the full effect and everything.”
Meanwhile, his teammate in the North American (NA) Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro was all praise for the Valorant Champions bundle. He said, “God, look at this glow dude. Look at the red. Oh my god!” Zellsis opined that Riot Games needs to rework the Champions Vandal and give it the red decals as well.
