Skyesports Championship 4.0: Dota 2 and CS:GO Teams Invited for SEA Qualifier

The first few Dota 2 and CS:GO teams from Southeast Asia have been handed direct invites for the Skyesports Championship 4.0.
Two Dota 2 teams and three CS:GO teams have been invited for this tournament.
More teams will be announced later to complete the lineup for the two SEA Qualifiers.

Indian esports is going to witness a cracker of a tournament from Skyesports towards the end of the competitive season with the AMD Skyesports Championship 4.0, featuring classic competitive titles like CS:GO and Dota 2.

The two events combined will feature a total prize pool of $25,000 USD (INR 20,31,050) with the grand finals all set to take place on LAN in front of a live audience at Mumbai sometime during mid-December.

While Indian teams and players can register themselves to fight through the Open Qualifier, certain teams from Southeast Asia (SEA) have been handed direct invites to compete in the SEA Qualifier.

AMD Skyesports Championship 4.0 - Direct Invites for Dota 2 and CS:GO SEA Qualifier

Here are all the Dota 2 and CS:GO teams that have been invited to compete in the SEA Qualifier of the respective titles for the AMD Skyesports Championship 4.0.

Dota 2

  1. Reaper Hashtag

  2. Renewal Esports

  3. Neon Esports

  4. White Cat

A total of four directly invited teams will compete in the SEA Qualifier, following a round-robin format where every match will be a best-of-three series. The top two teams will move ahead to the second phase of the tournament where they will be joined by the top two teams from the open India qualifier.

CS:GO

  1. Team Renewal - Group A

  2. Kintsugi - Group A

  3. Team NKT - Group A

  4. Team ARAVT - Group B

  5. Team NEXGA - Group B

  6. Clutch Gaming - Group B

A total of six directly invited teams will compete in the SEA Qualifier, following a round-robin format where every match will be a best-of-three series. The top team (winner) will directly qualify for the grand final which is all set to take place on LAN.

Skyesports has pleasantly surprised the Indian gaming community by throwing this curveball as two esports titles that despite having considerable userbases in India have never been too popular as competitive titles.

Even the LAN finals of the Skyesports Pokemon UNITE India Open 2022 which features a total prize pool of INR 22,50,000 ($27,165 USD) has been scheduled to take place as part of the AMD Skyesports Championship 4.0 in Mumbai.
