Skyesports Announces Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022 With INR 22,50,000 Prize Pool

The grand finals of the Skyesports Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022 will take place in Mumbai later this year.
Skyesports has partnered with The Pokémon Company to host the event in India.
Registrations for the event will open on 5th November.

Skyesports is hosting an open-for-all Pokémon UNITE event in partnership with The Pokémon Company. The event will feature a prize pool of INR 22,50,000 ($27,165 USD), making it the biggest esports event for Pokémon UNITE in India to date. Players who want to participate in the event can sign up for the open qualifiers and compete to make it to the LAN grand finals which will take place in Mumbai in mid-December.

Everything you need to know about Skyesports Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022

The Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022 will feature open qualifiers for teams across the country. After playing through different stages, the top two teams will advance to the National Finals which will be a LAN event in Mumbai in December. Registrations for the event will open on 5th November and players can register their teams until 18th November.

The qualifiers for the event will be separated across six regions including South India, North India, East India, West India, Central India, and North East India. All teams that register will compete from their respective regions in the zonal events. The top four teams from each zone will advance to the National Playoffs. 

The Playoffs stage will be streamed from 3rd to 13th December. The top two teams in the playoffs will make it to the grand final in Mumbai. The LAN event will take place during the Skyesports Championship 4.0 and it will feature a live audience, so if you are a Pokémon UNITE fan you can go watch the event live. 

Here is the complete schedule for the event: 

  • Registration: 7th to 18th November

  • Zonal Qualifiers: 19th to 25th November

  • Zonal Finals: 26th to 27th November

  • National Playoffs: 3rd to 13th December

  • National Finals (LAN): Mid-December
