League of Legends Season 2023's first patch — LoL Patch 13.1 — went live on 11th January 2023. Now, almost a year and 23 patches later, Riot Games is gearing up to release the last patch of the season. LoL Patch 13.24 will set the tone for the forthcoming Season 2024 changes that are sure to alter the way we play the game.
On 28th November, Lead Gameplay Designer Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison took to Twitter to preview LoL Patch 13.24. The changes that will come forth in this last patch include improvements to champions, quality-of-life (QoL), and reshaping of power budgets and feel.

All That Is Changing in LoL Patch 13.24
With Season 13 of League of Legends coming to a close very soon, the hype surrounding Season 2024 is extremely high. Apart from that, the developers feel the pressure to nail the final updates and get everything set for the new season start. This last patch will not only set the tone for Season 2024, but will directly affect the way it is played.
Phroxzon tweeted, "With the game changing pretty significantly next patch, we're looking to make improvements to champions that will persist through the item changes. These include things like fixing champion role skews, QoL improvements, reshaping of power budgets and feel improvements."
Additionally, the upcoming patch will introduce new champion Hwei to the game.
In total, 12 champions are getting buffed in LoL Patch 13.24, while only two are getting nerfed.

Hwei Slated for LoL Patch 13.24 Release
Phroxzon congratulated the developers who worked on Hwei. He added, "They did a fantastic job at executing on a fluid spellweaving caster and we hope players are going to love it."
According to Lexi “Riot Lexical” Gao, Hwei's mastery of his craft allows him to bring his artistic visions to life. His kit explores three different "subjects" of art. This gives him three different stances and has a total of nine abilities, apart from the ultimate spell.

This high skill ceiling champion will release on 6th December 2023 alongside the upcoming patch.
When does LoL Patch 13.24 Release?
LoL Patch 13.24 is expected to go live on 6th December, according to Riot Game’s official patch schedule.
Oceania: 10 am AEST
North America: 3 am PT
Europe West: 5 am GMT
Europe Nordic and East: 3 am CET
South Korea: 8 am KR
The game will also be down for a while for maintenance before the patching begins.
