Organized by the Saudi Esports Federation, Gamers8 2023, the third iteration of this gaming and esports festival, kicked off on 6th July and will come to a close on 31st August. The event called ‘The Land of Heroes’ is featuring a total of 13 esports tournaments with a combined prize pool of $33.5 Million USD. Notably, Fortnite is one of the game titles to return this year and fans were treated to a thrilling qualifier on 6th July ahead of the main event for the Fortnite event.
A total of 44 duos participated in the Middle East Qualifier and at the end of the day, the top five teams have made it to the main event that begins on 7th July.

Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 Middle East Qualifier: All You Need to Know
The main event of Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 is scheduled to take place between 7th and 9th July 2023 at Riyadh Boulevard in an offline LAN setting. However, the Middle East Qualifier took place before that on 6th July.
The format of the Middle East Qualifier was as follows:
Zero Build Mode
Six Matches
Scoring based on placement and eliminations.
Top 5 Duos advance to Gamers8 Main Tournament.
Notably, the Zero Build mode in Fortnite is a pure test of weapon, itemization, and traversal skills of the player and there is no concept of building. Without building, all players have the recharging over-shield as their first line of defense in this mode.
A total of 44 duos participated in this qualifier with only the top five advancing to the main event. The scores for each round are decided by the team’s placement in the round and the number of eliminations that they secured.

Duos that Qualified for Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 Main Stage
After six rounds of Zero Build Mode, the following duos qualified for the main Fortnite event at Gamers8:
Kalgamer and Nm7: 329 points
FHD and Hero: 328 points
Sattam and Smiky: 289 points
Bloomy and lardl: 273 points
Dexefite and DRaFTell: 253 points
While a total of 44 duos are participating in Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 main event, 30 of them qualified from DreamHack and nine duos were directly invited. The remaining five duos made it from the Middle East Qualifier.
The Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 event will feature three days of back-to-back action with six rounds played every day. All teams will be looking forward to taking home the lion's share of the $2 Million USD prize pool along with the coveted trophy.
