The Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 event will feature three days of back-to-back action with six rounds played every day. Here’s all you need to know about this event.

Gamers8 is one of the largest gatherings of games and esports and is dubbed a destination for elite esports athletes and gamers from around the world. The best teams and players have gathered in the heart of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, for a high-octane celebration of gaming and esports for eight weeks. Gamers8 is back in 2023 with its second edition and is featuring more events, esports titles, celebrations, and bigger prize money. 

Organized by the Saudi Esports Federation, Gamers8 2023 is scheduled to kick off on 6th July and will come to a close on 31st August. The event called ‘The Land of Heroes’ is featuring a total of 13 esports tournaments with a combined prize pool of $33.5 Million USD. Notably, Fortnite is one of the game titles to return this year.

A Guide to Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 Event

Gamers8 Fortnite 2023’s main event is scheduled to take place between 7th and 9th July 2023 at Riyadh Boulevard in an offline LAN setting. However, the Middle East Qualifier will take place on 6th July. The tournament’s matches are played in the zero build mode which is a tactical take on Fortnite Battle Royale.

This mode tests players’ sharp shooting, thinking, and spatial awareness. Zero Build mode in Fortnite is a pure test of weapon, itemization, and traversal skills of the player and there is no concept of building. Without building, all players have the recharging over-shield as their first line of defense in this mode.

Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 Format

  • Main Tournament Schedule: 7th-9th July.

  • Duos only.

  • Prize Pool: $2 Million USD.

  • Three Days of Fortnite action with 18 matches in total. As a result, there will be six matches per day.

  • Played on the Zero Build Mode.

  • The duos are scored based on placement and eliminations.

  • Each day brings a higher point multiplier. First-day eliminations get scored 12, second-day 15, and third-day 18. Likewise, placement scores also increase with each day of the tournament.

  • A total of 44 duos participate.


Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 Duos & Standings

While a total of 44 duos are participating in Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 event, 30 of them qualified from DreamHack while five duos made it from the Middle East Qualifier. The remaining nine duos are invited to the event directly.


Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 Event - Round-wise Points Split-up

As mentioned before, the Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 event will feature three days of back-to-back action with six rounds played every day. All the participants will take home a part of the prize pool, with the top four taking home the lion’s share. The event kicks off on 7th July and will conclude on 9th July with 44 duos fighting for the win, bragging rights, and prize money.

The matches will go live at 6 pm CEST every day and here are the scores for the matches.

Overall Standings

The overall standings and the prize pool distribution will be updated at the end of the third day of the Gamers8 Fortnite 2023 event.
