It has been less than a week since Valorant Episode 7 Act 1’s launch and Deadlock has been a staple pick for players on almost all maps. Deadlock is a Sentinel agent from Norway who, according to Riot Games, “deploys an array of cutting-edge nanowires to secure the battlefield from even the most lethal assault.” She hails from Norway and has a unique personality in the game. Fans were given a deeper look into her lore, thanks to the Unmade cinematic. It goes without saying that every agent is brought to life by their voice actors, and Agent 23 Deadlock is voiced by Nora Gjestvang.

Nora Gjestvang Brings Deadlock to Life
On 30th June, a couple of days after Deadlock’s release, Riot Games confirmed that Nora Gjestvang is the voice actor for the Norwegian agent in Valorant. In a video released by the publisher, players got to know more about Gjestvang as well as Deadlock.
Talking about what she likes the most about Deadlock, Nora Gjestvang said, “What I find most Norwegian about Agent 23 is how tough she is. She’s been around the block a few times which gives her a resilience that’s raw and that’s very typical of Norwegians.”
Gjestvang also touched upon the fact that Deadlock has been through a lot, referring to her cinematic where is attacked by the bear, eventually losing her arm. She noted that Deadlock is someone who never gives up and that she admires the most about this deadly agent.
The voice actor also talked about what Deadlock and her have in common. “The thing me and Deadlock have in common is that if we want something, we make it a goal. Then we go full steam ahead,” said Nora.
When Deadlock uses her ultimate ability in Valorant, she screams out loud, “My territory, my rules!!” and this happens to be Gjestvang’s favorite voice line of Deadlock’s.
In the video, Gjestvang had a sweet message to her little brother who she said plays a lot of Valorant. She joked that she will annoy him not only at the house but also while he plays the game now that she’s featured in it.
