What is Deadlock’s Real Name in Valorant?
From the voice lines available in patch 7 for Deadlock, fans and players have already guessed what Deadlock’s real name might be.
In one of the lines dedicated to the spike interactions, she can be heard saying a name. When Deadlock is running out of time while defusing, she says, “Iselin, dette får du til!” This translates to “Iselin, you got this!” (Norwegian to English translation). So players are speculating that Iselin could be our Agent 23’s real name.
In fact, Iselin is a pretty common Norwegian name and it means dream, vision, or daydream.
Confirming her name is her official bio. According to Fandom, the blonde woman, named Iselin, “had been one of three elite hunters from the security force Ståljeger who had been assigned to escort a Project Landfall scientist to the facility and oversee the extraction and transport of a very special item; a bear that had been transformed by Landfall's experiments on it.”

Why Is Deadlock Bitter Towards Gekko’s Pet Creatures?
According to Deadlock’s lore, she loses her arm after getting attacked by a bear that had been transformed by Kingdom Corporation’s Landfall project. The bear bit down onto Iselin aka Dealock’s left arm and then substances from the bear's body entered Iselin's own system, causing her to become disoriented and hear an echoing voice. As Iselin pushed through and closed the chamber door, she lost her arm. Moments before collapsing she turns on a beacon, sending signals about her location.
She is then rescued by Sova and taken back to the Valorant HQ, where she receives a new prosthetic replacement for her missing arm. Thanks to this life-altering incident which happened due to Project Landfall and the bear, Deadlock is bitter towards Gekko’s cute little creatures including Wingman. Notably, they are also results of the experiments of Project Landfall. She considers all of Landfall's creations to be creatures with dangerous potential.
