PC players on both Steam and Epic Games Store can now enjoy the game with friends on consoles.
Players will need to enable cross-platform play in the settings menu.

Rocket League cross-platform play or cross-play is enabled by default. This fun, free-to-play is supported on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam. Psyonix enabled full cross-platform play on January 14, 2019. Players on any of these platforms can randomly matchmake with or against each other in all online match types (i.e. Casual, Competitive, and Extra Modes). If this option was disabled for any reason, it’s easy to get back into Rocket League cross-platform action by enabling it. Here is how you can enable Rocket League cross-platform play.

How To Enable Rocket League Cross-Platform

As mentioned before, Rocket League supports cross-platform play on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo consoles. PC players on both Steam and the Epic Games Store can enjoy the game with friends on consoles by enabling cross-play. If you cannot play Rocket League with a friend on a different console or platform, you need to enable cross-platform play in the menu. Follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Launch Rocket League

Step 2: Select Settings from the Main Menu

Step 3: Select the Gameplay tab

Step 4: Check the Cross-Platform Play box

Rocket League has cross-platform play enabled by default.

Doing this will enable Rocket League cross-platform or crossplay for every platform and will randomly matchmake with other platforms in online matches. After enabling cross-platform multiplayer the game added support for cross-platform parties last year. With the release of patch 1.58, players are now able to invite anyone on their friends list to parties and in-game clubs.

All players now have a RocketID, regardless of which platform they are using to play. The new friends list shows friends added on the same platform, as well as those attached to your RocketID. There’s also a section for recent players where you can invite players you recently met to your party.
