How To Enable 2FA On Rocket League Using Epic Games Account

Psyonix had always encouraged players to enable 2FA on Rocket League for security reasons. However, the Rocket League patch 1.93 update made it compulsory for players to enable 2FA (Two-factor authentication) to their players. This feature is one of the many ways players can secure their accounts apart from using a strong password and linking their platform accounts. The addition of 2FA added extra security to player accounts and added another layer of safety to trading within the game. Here is how players can activate two-factor authentication for their Rocket League accounts on Epic Games Launcher on the PC.

How to Activate Two Factor Authentication on Rocket League

Two Factor Authentication is an extra security feature that helps increase the safety of your account. It is recommended that you also set up 2FA on Rocket League for your Platform account as well. When 2FA is activated a special access code will be sent to the player when a login is attempted from the account. Users will need to provide additional authorization to access your account.

Enabling 2FA on Epic Games Store

1. Go to the Account page.

2. Click the Password & Security tab.

3. Under ‘Two-factor Authentication', click the 2FA option you want.

How to Keep your Rocket League Account Secure

Use a strong Password

Using a strong password is a great way to keep your account secure. Ideally, your Epic Games password should have:

• At least 7 characters.

• At least 1 upper case letter.

• At least 1 lowercase letter.

• At least 1 number.

Creating a password with a password generator is also a good option. Make sure you don’t recycle your passwords or share them with anyone. Remember, Rocket League Support will never ask for your password.

Link your Platform Accounts

It is recommended that you link all your platform accounts with your Epic Games account. Once linked, you will be able to have all accounts tied to your name. This means that if you were to lose access to one platform account, you could still log into your Epic Games account to submit a support ticket.
