Popular North American organization, TSM, has entered Dota 2 by signing Team Undying.
Since Team Undying's inception as a stack in January 2021, it has competed without a sponsor. The team finished in the 13th-16th place at TI10 and was recently ranked second in Tour 1 of the DPC 2021-22.

North American (NA) esports organization TSM has announced its entry into competitive Dota 2 with the signing of Team Undying. TSM officially revealed this development by sharing a video showing how after years of community calls for a Dota 2 team from TSM, it was finally venturing into competitive Dota 2. Previously competing without an organization, Team Undying recently finished second in Tour 1 of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) NA 2021-22: Division 1 and earned a place in the Regional Finals. At The International 10 (TI10), the team placed 13th-16th and ended up with a prize purse of $600,300 USD.

TSM signs North American Dota 2’s Team Undying

“I feel like signing with TSM is a dream come true,” David "MoonMeander" Tan Boon Yang, Team Undying's captain, said in the video.

TSM’s Dota 2 roster consists of the following players:

  1. Enzo “Timado” Gianoli

  2. Jonathan Bryle "Bryle" Santos De Guia

  3. Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek

  4. Kim "DuBu" Doo-young

  5. David "MoonMeander" Tan Boon Yang

Team Undying was formed at the beginning of the DPC 2021 as an unsponsored stack and progressed from the closed qualifier of the first league all the way to The International 10 (TI10). Before TI10’s bootcamp, the team had to conduct a fundraiser to raise money. It was sponsored by Eaze, an American cannabis delivery company a few days before TI10 but entered the biggest Dota 2 event of the year under its own banner after it was unable to find a suitable organization.

For NA Dota 2, which has been suffering from a lack of sponsors for the last few years, Team Undying getting signed by a huge organization such as TSM is a milestone move. As MoonMeander mentioned in the video, he expects this partnership to usher in a new era for NA Dota. Team Undying and Quincy Crew, two teams that have consistently remained in the upper echelons of NA Dota 2 since the start of DPC 2021-22, have been searching for an organization for a while now. Team Undying has found TSM, but Quincy Crew, which won Tour 1 of the DPC, is still in the hunt.

With investment worth millions of dollars from cryptocurrency exchange FTX, TSM is a well established organization that has rosters across a lot of titles, including League of Legends, Valorant, and Fortnite. The organization's League of Legends team has been particularly noteworthy for its performance and championship runs in the NA League Championship Series. TSM also has a number of content creators across several divisions, including Chess Grandmaster, Hikaru Nakamura.

TSM’s Dota 2 team will be seen in action in the NA Regional Finals starting on 18th Feb 2022.
