T1 vs Alliance: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

Game 1 was won by T1 by a landslide. With some of its favorite heroes drafted, the team got off to a strong start. Alliance made some moves, but T1 was much more efficient at all aspects, including farming, finding kills, and placing vision. Whatever fight Alliance attempted to engage in, it mostly lost. T1 won in 37 minutes with a convincing performance.

Game 2 was no different from Game 1. In this instance, T1 seemed to have drafted itself a slightly better draft on paper and then went on to execute it perfectly as well. Using a safelane Slark, a mid Ember Spirit, and an offlane Earthshaker, T1 relentlessly hunted down the enemy heroes. Alliance looked helpless as it tapped out of the game after 33 minutes.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

T1 was expected to have the upper hand going into the series against Alliance, especially after the fight it put up against PSG.LGD in the upper bracket, but the series proved to be a much bigger stomp. The team's drafts and implementation were clear and precise. All players seem to have found their groove and are giving excellent individual performances as well. As a team, they appear to be in sublime form and will be a tough opponent for whomever they face next between Evil Geniuses and Vici Gaming.

Despite the success it had in online events, Alliance failed to match that success even once in the three LAN events it participated in during the year. As far as the group stage of TI10 is concerned, it performed poorly and while it did win the BO1 elimination match against beastcoast in the Main Event, it was utterly outplayed by T1 today.
