It is the end of OG's run in The International 10 (TI10) and the team's bid for a three-peat. OG's kryptonite in its quest to win its third title proved to be the young squad of Team Spirit, who put forth an excellent effort to win the series 2-0. As both teams stuck to the same strategies in both games and backed them up, it was Team Spirit whose drafts and gameplay proved to be massively precise and composed. Additionally, after securing a crucial ultra kill in the second game, Team Spirit's midlaner, Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek wrote, "ez game" in the all-chat.

Team Spirit vs OG: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

Game 1 featured fantastic Dota 2 play. Although Team Spirit found kills continuously, SumaiL’s Tiny's growth was tremendous, and he led the networth chart by a large margin. SumaiL was able to take all five enemy heroes heads on at first, but as the game went on, this aspect of placing all their eggs in SumaiL's basket began to hurt OG. With Collapse pulling off some mind-boggling Skewers on Magnus, Team Spirit applied its best teamfighting skills to take down OG in 45 minutes.

In game 2, OG stuck with Tiny and Nature's Prophet, while Team Spirit also went with Magnus and Winter Wyvern. OG also tried to play a position four Night Stalker, but that did not work out as planned. From the very start, Team Spirit kept the aggression high with TORONTOTOKYO’s Void Spirit and scored some key kills. All of the fights OG took failed, and the team lost the game within 30 minutes.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

OG has had a challenging year filled with roster changes, performance dips, and the inability to take part in LAN competitions. After finally putting together an impressive roster, improving their performance, and being able to play at a LAN, OG looked like a serious contender for TI10, but it did not pan out. The team backed its style of going forward with some bizarre picks, and it was one of those days when they did not work. Team Spirit also played seriously well to take down the defending champion. OG finishes in 7th-8th place at TI10 and wins $1,000,500 USD in prize money.
