The lineup from the CIS region (Commonwealth of Independent States) is looking in top shape having placed fourth at the IEM Road to Rio 2022: European RMR A after handing a '2-1' defeat to Cloud9, followed by a victory at the FiReLEAGUE 2022: Global Finals where it dropped just one map on its way to lifting the trophy.

Initially, Team Spirit was not a part of FiReLEAGUE 2022: Global Finals. The Russian esports organization was sent an invite for the tournament at the very last moment, following Team oNe's decision to withdraw from the tournament due to scheduling overlap with the ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022.
Despite the late invite to the tournament, Team Spirit displayed top performance as the team had already practiced well for the European RMR A which took place from 4th to 9th October.
As both tournaments lined up one after the other and were taking place on LAN, it only proved to be an advantage for Team Spirit, who had put up brilliant performances at the Major qualifier.
At the FiReLEAGUE 2022: Global Finals, Team Spirit managed to reach the grand final without losing a single map, handing clean defeats to WINDINGO and 9z Team.
The final best-of-three series took place against paiN Gaming and went down to a decider after both teams won on their respective map picks - Dust 2 (16-12) and Nuke (8-16), respectively.
The final game took place on Vertigo with the trophy on the line. Team Spirit determined as ever took a huge '12-3' lead at half time and then chipped enough rounds to guarantee themselves a '16-10' win.
With this, Team Spirit managed to lift the trophy at the legendary football stadium Camp Nou and also walked away with $100,000 USD in prize money.
