Here are all the 32 teams that will get a chance to reach the IEM Rio Major 2022.
All the open qualifiers for the IEM Road to Rio 2022: Europe RMR (Regional Major Ranking) have concluded with 20 teams making it through to the Major qualifier. They will be joined by 12 direct invites who managed to make it to the legends stage of the PGL Antwerp Major 2022.
These 32 teams will be divided in two, competing through Europe RMR A and Europe RMR B, with a total of 16 slots available for the IEM Rio Major 2022. Matches for both are scheduled to take place at the same time in an offline format from 4th to 9th October in Malta, Europe.

The Europe RMR is one of the three regions for which this tournament is taking place alongside America and Asia-Pacific. Here is everything you need to know about this tournament which acts as a qualifier for the IEM Rio Major 2022.

Out of the 32 teams participating in the Europe RMR, 12 teams have received a direct invite while the remaining 20 teams have fought their way through the four regional open qualifiers.

Both the Europe RMR A and RMR B are scheduled to take place from 4th to 9th October at the same time. These events will be taking place offline in Malta with a total of 16 teams making it through to the IEM Rio Major 2022.

Format
The Europe RMR A and RMR B will be following the same tournament format which consists of a 16 team swiss system format.
Here all matches will be a single game affair, except for elimination and advancement matches which will be featuring a best-of-three series.
The third place decider will follow a three-game series with a single-elimination format.
Top eight teams from both groups will move on to the IEM Rio Major 2022 while the bottom eight teams will be eliminated.

This is the first CS:GO Major ever to take place in Brazil and is scheduled to take place from 31st October to 13th November in the Jeunesse Arena, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The tickets for the event have already been sold out.
