PGL Antwerp Major 2022 Playoffs: Teams, Schedule, Results, Streams, More

The PGL Antwerp Major 2022 kicked off on 9^th May and shall go on till 22^nd May. Esports fans witnessed top-tier CS:GO action as 24 teams from around the world competed against each other for a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD (INR 77,368,050), which is a 50% dip from last year's PGL Stockholm Major 2021.

All the participants were segregated into three groups of eight teams each based on the slot secured by them in the RMR (Regional Major Rankings) qualifiers. Similarly, the Major has also been divided into three stages - Challengers Stage, Legends Stage, and Champions Stage (Playoffs) which will be played in front of about 50,000 spectators at the Antwerps Sportpaleis from 19^th to 22^nd May.

The first two parts of the tournament, Challengers and Legends Stage, has concluded with eight of the 24 teams qualifying for the Playoffs (Champions Stage) while the other teams take an early flight home.

Champions Stage: Format (19^th to 22^nd May)

• An eight team single elimination bracket will be followed.

• All matches will be featuring a best-of-three series.

• The winner will be crowned as the champion of PGL Antwerp Major 2022.

• The winning team will be walking away with $500,000 USD in prize money.

24 teams started out with the dream of competing in front of a crowd in Antwerp, Belgium. The opening Challengers Stage witnessed the elimination of the first eight teams, followed by eight more walking out in the Legends Stage.

The first two stages of the tournament were played on LAN but not in front of a live audience, however the final stage will be taking place at the Antwerps Sportpaleis in front of almost 50,000 spectators.

This tournament is getting a lot of support from the local body with the city of Antwerp even commissioning the creation of a new CS:GO map called 'Antwerp Harbor', giving all CS:GO players an opportunity to see glimpses of the city virtually.
