The PGL Antwerp Major 2022 is all set to take place from 9th to 22nd May. Esports fans will witness two weeks of top-tier CS:GO action as 24 teams from around the world compete against each other for a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD (INR 77,368,050), which is a 50% dip from last year's PGL Stockholm Major 2021.
All the participants have been segregated into three groups of eight teams each based on the slot secured by them in the RMR (Regional Major Rankings) qualifiers - Contenders, Challengers, and Legends.
Similarly, the Major has also been divided into three stages - Challengers Stage, Legends Stage, and Champions Stage (Playoffs) which will be played in front of about 50,000 spectators at the Antwerps Sportpaleis.

A complete guide to PGL Antwerp Major 2022: Legends Stage
The first part of the tournament, Challengers Stage, has concluded with eight of the 16 teams qualifying for the Legend Stage while the other teams unfortunately take an early flight home.
Legends Stage is scheduled to tomorrow 14th May onwards and will be taking place for the next three days, coming to an end on 17th May with eight teams qualifying ahead to the Champions Stage (Playoffs).

Legends Stage: Format (14th to 17th May 2022)
A 16-team Swiss System format will be followed.
Elimination and Qualification matches will feature a BO3 series.
All other matches will be a single-match series.
The top eight teams will proceed to the Champions Stage (Playoffs).
The bottom eight teams will be eliminated from the Major.
Legends Stage: Overall Standings
Total of 16 teams will be competing in this stage of the tournament, but only the top eight will qualify ahead to PGL Antwerp Major 2022: Champions Stage (Playoffs).
Challengers Stage: Schedule and Results (Timezone: IST)
The initial matchups or Round-1 of the Legends Stage will take place on 14th May with all 16 teams playing a single game series.

Round-2 will also be played on 14th May, but the matchups are not yet determined and will be based on the results of the first round. Here, the teams will be divided into two groups - Winners and Losers.
Round 2 - 14th May 2022, Saturday
Round-3 will be played on 15th May, but the matchups have not been determined and will be based on the results of the second round. Here, the teams will be divided into three groups - Qualifier, Last Chance, Eliminator.

Round-4 will be played on 16th May, but the matchups have not been determined and will be based on the results of the third round. Here, the teams will be divided into two groups - Qualifier and Eliminator.
Round 4 - 16th May 2022, Monday
Round-5, which is the the last round, will be played on 17th May, but the matchups have not yet been determined and will be based on the results of the fourth round. Here, the remaining teams will play in an Eliminator.

PGL Antwerp Major 2022 - Prize Pool Distribution
This time the CS:GO Major is featuring a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD which will be divided between the top 16 teams. This means that all the teams that compete in the legends stage will be walking away with some part of the prize money.
PGL Antwerp Major 2022 - Livestreams
Two livestreams will be simultaneously running for most part of the first two stages of the Antwerp Major, Challengers Stage and Legends Stage.
While the primary stream will be broadcasted in 27 different languages across multiple streaming platforms, the secondary stream will be streamed in only nine languages.

The first two stages of the tournament will be played on LAN but not in front of a live audience, however the final stage will be taking place at the Antwerps Sportpaleis in front of almost 50,000 spectators.
This tournament is getting a lot of support from the local body with the city of Antwerp even commissioning the creation of a new CS:GO map called 'Antwerp Harbor', giving all CS:GO players an opportunity to see glimpses of the city virtually.
