NAVI Star S1mple Considers Taking a Break From Competitive CS:GO
This could be a HUGE setback for the Ukrainian organization!
One of the best CS:GO players in the world, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, might be considering taking a break from the competitive side of things. This could potentially turn out to be a huge setback for Natus Vincere (NAVI) after having already dropped Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov last month.
The Ukrainian esports organization is already in a pretty rough spot ahead of the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022, their first tournament since the PGL Antwerp Major 2022 after not being able to attend the IEM Dallas 2022.
Not only are they fielding a temporary player, Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev, whose future with the team is undecided, it will also be the first time that Denis "electroNic" Sharipov in his seven-year career will be leading a CS:GO team within the server.
Amidst all this, s1mple in an interview with HLTV has come forward to reveal that he might take a break from competitive CS:GO because he is deciding what to do, along with the fact that NAVI's future is still uncertain.
S1mple considers taking a break from competitive CS:GO in order to set up his life
NAVI star AWPer, s1mple, who is popularly referred to as the 'GOAT of Counter-Strike' within the CS:GO community might be considering stepping away from the competitive side of things to set up his life.
When asked about the cryptic tweet he had made earlier this month on 1st July, "Still thinking about my decision 2BC", s1mple confirmed that it was indeed related to the team's situation which is far from stable at this point in time.
He went on to talk about the future of NAVI's CS:GO roster explaining that he is not sure what is going to happen with all the players, as they still need to decide whether they are sticking with this lineup or if further changes may still be required.
"Maybe I will take a break, because I need to do things in life, like I need to move, I need to get a lot of documents, when you have tournament after tournament you just have no time," said s1mple, not sure if he can wait till the player break to take care of all these things.
The 24-year-old further described his situation by giving examples of his teammates, how they live with a family but he does not have any place to go after playing in tournaments, "I don't have a flat right now or a house where I can always live, that is the main problem. I need to set up my life, I want to play and stream and not worry about other things, not travel with the same bag for six months. I live everywhere, just traveling and traveling, and I have become mentally tired of this."
Right now, NAVI is in Lisbon for the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 all set to go up against OG in their opening match of 'Group-B', which is scheduled to take place later today on 15th June at 20:30 IST.
