Gen.G Esports has become the first team from ESL One: Road to Rio - North America to make it to the Grand Finals after defeating Cloud9 yesterday, and while it was certainly a big moment for the organization the celebrations seemed to be a bit too bold, as they hit Cloud9 with back-to-back memes that were straight-up brutal.

Replying to an old meme from Cloud9 in which the organization had celebrated the success of their new roster (at that time) qualifying for IEM Katowice 2020 just four days after acquiring them, Gen.G Esports which comprises of the ex-Cloud9 core of Timothy “autimatic” Ta, Damian “daps” Steele, and Kenneth “koosta” Suen, hit them back by sharing a savage meme which read “When your old roster takes your #RoadToRio Grand Finals spot.”

The savage reply sure got on to Cloud9’s nerves as they attempted to troll Gen.G back, but the sub-par replies had no effect, as users rallied up in favour of Gen.G Esports.

But this was not the end of it, as Gen.G unloaded a few more memes to win this one-sided banter, that might have left Cloud9 in a pool of tears.
