A new League of Legends: Wild Rift pet system may arrive in the game soon, as revealed by data miners. The leaks unveiled a plethora of cute-looking followers that will move along with the champions as they walk around the Summoners Rift. The designs of these followers resemble the Little Legends from Teamfight Tactics,  a separate auto battler game mode by Riot Games. According to leaks, the Wild Rift pet system will also feature various cosmetics for the followers. The leak came from an early access preview from the Chinese server. Riot Games is yet to officially unveil more details on the release date of the Wild Rift pet system.

Through a YouTube video by the data miner, ChowZ_Channel, a new cosmetic feature has been leaked that may soon arrive in the game in future updates. The new pet system in Wild Rift is a decorative piece that will closely follow the players around the map as they play the game.

These followers feature cute and cuddly characters from the game Teamfight Tactics (TFT) like Pengu and Choncc, two of the most iconic Little Legends in the game. More pets may be added to the pool once the feature gets finalized and released in Wild Rift.

These pets will also disappear when the champion they are following dies in the game. This prevents cluttering during teamfigths which may be distracting for players. However, considering how team fights can be chaotic at times, it is yet to be known if having a lot of moving characters and pets during a teamfight will affect a player’s concentration.

It is yet to be explained how the new Wild Rift pet system will interact with other mechanics in the game such as stealth or invisibility. Riot Games is yet to officially confirm if this feature will be added to the game or is only exclusive to the Chinese server. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the future.
