Warzone Mobile has already been rolled out in a few countries like Brazil, Australia, Chile and Sweden for select players with more countries expected to follow suit. With over 35-million pre-registrations, many fans are excited to get their hands on the game. However, Warzone Mobile’s global release seems to have hit a bit of a snag. Call of Duty: Warzone release date pushed on App Store
Activision confirmed that it was working on Warzone mobile back in March 2022 with a tweet calling for roles in their developing and publishing teams. Since then, Warzone has conducted a number of closed alpha tests and even limited releases in several countries. Activision revealed a number of features including multiplayer, new maps and more. However, it looks like the developer is delaying the global release of the game. According to a tweet by Charlie INTEL, Warzone Mobile’s release date on the App Store has changed from Expected May 15 2023 to now Expected Nov 1 2023.
Activision has not yet announced a global release date for the game, with Studio Co-Head Chris Plummer confirming the same in a recent deep dive. Plummer stated that the developer will be expanding the limited release to more countries in Europe and South America to “significantly increase the size of our audience”. The game is currently available in Brazil, Australia, Chile, Norway and Sweden through the limited release.
The developer is also planning on adding support for more devices, improving stability and performance. Plummer also stated that Activision is looking to add new modes, challenges and UX improvements.
