Upthrust Esports has unveiled yet another Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) event. The new event named India Rising Series 2024 will have open qualifiers for upcoming teams and seasoned squads will be invited to the later stages. Upthrust Esports has revealed the format for the event and the Open Qualifiers are expected to start soon. The event also boasts a prize pool of INR 15 Lakhs.
Upthrust Esports India Rising Series 2024 BGMI event detailed
The Upthrust Esports India Rising Series 2024 BGMI event will have open qualifiers with over 2000 teams competing. The top 8 teams from each group of the open qualifiers will qualify for the further rounds. The Quarter Finals of the event will see 8 invited teams competing with 8 qualified teams and the top 6 from the Quarter Finals shall qualify for the League Stage.
This is the detailed format for the Upthrust Esports India Rising Series 2024 BGMI event
Open Qualifiers:
2048 Teams.
128 Groups (16 teams in each group).
1 match per group.
Top 8 from each group qualify for Round 1.
Round 1:
1024 Teams.
64 Groups (16 teams in each group).
1 match per group.
Top 4 from each group qualify for Round 2.
Round 2:
256 Teams.
16 Groups (16 teams in each group).
2 matches per group.
Top 4 from each group qualify for Round 3.
Round 3:
64 Teams.
4 Groups (16 teams in each group).
3 matches per group.
Top 4 from each group qualify for Round 4.
Round 4:
16 Teams.
1 Group.
4 matches.
Top 8 teams will qualify for the Quarter Finals.
Quarter Finals:
8 Qualified teams and 8 invited teams (16 teams total).
6 matches.
Top 6 qualify for the League Stage.
Points System
In the 2024 BGMI season, Upthrust Esports has been allocating points to the teams on the basis of the PUBG Mobile Esports points system for its events. The team securing the chicken dinner will now receive 10 points instead of 15 and the amount of points will keep decreasing for lower placed teams. It can be expected that the same points system will be followed for this event as well.
This is the points system for the Upthrust Esports India Rising Series 2024:
1st place: 10 points.
2nd place: 6 points.
3rd place: 5 points.
4th place: 4 points.
5th place: 3 points.
6th place: 2 points.
7th place: 1 point.
8th place: 1 point.
9th - 16th place: 0 points.
1 Finish: 1 point.
